I spend a lot of time online and have done for years and over that time many happy, sad, odd, nasty, fantastic things have happened to me online and off. This blog is about all of that and more.

Hey thanks for checking out my little blog. A bit about me: I'm a web designer for a Catholic Hospital in Nebraska. I love my job and it's allowed me to learn so much about design and code etc etc. all at their expense, not mine, hehehe. I have a daughter, she's nearly 12 and the pride of my life. You can check out her website at Sweetiepete.com. She loves it when people sign her guestbook :) That's enough for this space. If you want to know more, read the blogs! :)

Well.... That was a nice little break from blogging :) I fully intended to write more often, but well, I didn't. So there you go. I'll probably be even more spradic in the weeks to come as my boss has decided I must revamp our entire website by September 1st. I see mega overtime for me :) Which is a good thing of course. Money money you know.

Everything's relatively quiet on all fronts lately. Had a good meeting with my Digest staff and sorted out some glitches with the sections and they're all diligently working on their stories. Especially one of our users, called Snarf. He's very gung ho and I believe is one of my best staff members.

So that's chugging along nicely. Things are quiet in Placeboland as well. Leigh asked if I'd mind a bump to administrator on the public forum so I could watch the new user moderation queue and handle problems that come up (users asking for accounts to be deleted etc etc) so I'm doing that now. He's so busy with the Silver Rocket area and other IRL things that he rarely has time to devote to the public. I think it's good for him to get away from it. Some of the crap there can be so emotionally draining sometimes and he doesn't need that. So the divine Moneypenny and I watch over it. I love her to bits - she's so cool. Definitely the girl I'd pick to go spend money with - hehehe, shopper extraordinaire that she is :)

This weekend is the annual Bournemouth meet in England. Matt and Ginge, flatmates who happen to live above a train station and next door to a lovely pub and every year they host Bomo. This year is the 8th year for it. Usually it lasts from Friday to Sunday, but this year is supposed to be one of the biggest yet, with a lot of international users coming in for it so it's running from today (Thursday) until next Monday. There will be much drinking, clubbing, drinking, nude sunbathing at the beach, shagging, drinking, snogging, moon-the-camera pics, drinking, and utter exhaustion :) I wish I could go. I went to the last bit of Bomo '98 which was fun. Until Matt decided watching Riverdance in surround sound at 5am would be cool :)

Anyway I'm off. I've got a big fat bonus check to go spend :) Til next time.
