I spend a lot of time online and have done for years and over that time many happy, sad, odd, nasty, fantastic things have happened to me online and off. This blog is about all of that and more.

Hey thanks for checking out my little blog. A bit about me: I'm a web designer for a Catholic Hospital in Nebraska. I love my job and it's allowed me to learn so much about design and code etc etc. all at their expense, not mine, hehehe. I have a daughter, she's nearly 12 and the pride of my life. You can check out her website at Sweetiepete.com. She loves it when people sign her guestbook :) That's enough for this space. If you want to know more, read the blogs! :)

I can't believe I'm wearing leather pants (trousers to all you brits - no way would I wear leather underwear. The chafing! Yeesh.) But like a dolt I packed everything for the trip as soon as it came out of the laundry which left me with very little to choose from for work. So today is leather day :) Getting funny looks though. Oh well. I'm too cool for school.

Let's see, today I managed to screw up my sister's blog so I'll have to fix that. No big deal really, as the wench never uses it and she doesn't get much web traffic but it will bother me until I sort it out. All I meant to do was change her link to my forums to the new address but I forgot to fix hers via the blogger template. Oops :) Speaking of Kelly, I broke down and told her what I got her for her bday. Couldn't wait :) Kat told me about Oneshare.com and I thought it was really neat. So I bought her a share of Disney stock (which is up three dollars from the time I purchased it.) The thing is, I waited until I knew she was back from Scotland before I bought it. And THEN I found out it takes about eight weeks to go through. So she should get her October birthday present around christmas time. *sigh* Ah well, she was chuffed.

I've been lurking around Emotion Eric's brand-spanky-new forums. They're pretty cool. Needs subsections and avatars though but it doesn't look like he'll be adding those anytime soon. And needs to disallow images in signatures. Ugh. Maybe I've been spoiled by the Placebo forums where such spam was not allowed, but damn they're annoying. There doesn't seem to be a filesize limit on them either. Oh well, not the end of the world. But I shall be checking my own forums and disallowing that sort of rubbish. Yes, I am a forum snob. Hehehe.

So I'm on my final checklist. Got my tires sorted out, cat's at the kennel, bought some anti-freeze because I'm low (now I just have to figure out where it goes :D), had the insurance company fax me new cards because I can't find the originals, so now I can get pulled over worry-free (not that I plan to of course :)). Just have to go buy Rick's New Belgium ale (and hope it doesn't freeze and explode in the trunk - it's bloody cold here), gas up the car, finish packing and do the dishes. Woohoo! I bet that's more info than anyone wanted but I don't care. I'm out of stimulating topics for the moment.

Anyway, last blog for a week, seeya!

A day and a half, a day and a half... Why is it that when you are waiting for something, time seems to drag. I need to keep myself busy because then time flies. Got a lot done over the weekend, apart from bad planning food-wise. I went shopping Friday night for snacky things to munch on in the car and completely forgot to buy actual food for lunch and dinner etc for the four days we had left before the trip. So we ate a lot of rice and soup :) I just didn't want a lot of food in the fridge to spoil while we're gone.
Anyway, my computer seems to be acting up yet again. It's really pissing me off. Last night I couldn't stay connected for more than a few minutes before it started locking up and giving me the blue screens of death again. So I did yet another system restore and I have it loading only the bare essentials when it boots up. Seems to be working but I regret rebooting the comp in the first place. That's when it went wonky. Computers suck.

So I asked my cousin if he wanted me to bring him anything. Three guesses as to what he asked for. Yep, beer. When he was here we tried some New Belgium Ale that Super Saver had and apparently he really liked it and can't get it up in Oshkosh. So I get to bring him some :) I hope it doesn't freeze in the trunk. Weather's supposed to be a bit nippy this week.

'Fraid this is a short blog actually. I've a lot of work to do today. Ta ra :)

T-minus 43 hours and counting.
