I spend a lot of time online and have done for years and over that time many happy, sad, odd, nasty, fantastic things have happened to me online and off. This blog is about all of that and more.

Hey thanks for checking out my little blog. A bit about me: I'm a web designer for a Catholic Hospital in Nebraska. I love my job and it's allowed me to learn so much about design and code etc etc. all at their expense, not mine, hehehe. I have a daughter, she's nearly 12 and the pride of my life. You can check out her website at Sweetiepete.com. She loves it when people sign her guestbook :) That's enough for this space. If you want to know more, read the blogs! :)

Hmmm Blogger vs. Greymatter. Decisions, decisions. Greymatter's no longer updated, apart from hacks people come up with. Blogger I bet will eventually become a pay service. Greymatter is a pain to install on win2k servers (but it can be done!), Blogger occasionally loses all your hard work when you hit the publish button. Pros and cons either way. I think I'll just keep using both and stop thinking out loud about it :)

I bought a domain today, wheeeeee. I'm going to transfer the film project I've been working on to it now that I can expand it. It's going to be 'thepictureshow.org' :) So my email will be melia@thepictureshow.org. Hehehe, I love it. While I waited for the domain to filter out into the Net, I redid my daughter's site. It was very little girly before, now it's more of a pre-teen look. The kid likes it loads so I'm pleased. Sweetiepete.com if you're curious. And please sign her guestbook - it makes her happy :)

I don't know what has sparked off this latest spat of new websites/redesigns etc. I suppose I could say I'm just keeping in practice, learning new things to help me at work. Yeah, that sounds good. But really it's more like I really love doing it. I love getting all frustrated and irritated when i can't work out some bit of code, or can'tmake something work on a site, and finding out I've forgotten a simple '/' or something and bam - suddenly it all works. It's quite a rush :)
