I spend a lot of time online and have done for years and over that time many happy, sad, odd, nasty, fantastic things have happened to me online and off. This blog is about all of that and more.

Hey thanks for checking out my little blog. A bit about me: I'm a web designer for a Catholic Hospital in Nebraska. I love my job and it's allowed me to learn so much about design and code etc etc. all at their expense, not mine, hehehe. I have a daughter, she's nearly 12 and the pride of my life. You can check out her website at Sweetiepete.com. She loves it when people sign her guestbook :) That's enough for this space. If you want to know more, read the blogs! :)

Today I'm going to write about my town, and the large contingent of racist, bigoted, narrow-minded idiots that live here. I read (and occasionally post) on my city newspaper's forums and let's just say that there are people there that are enough to put you off your lunch. Here's a few examples of their fine, conservative minds (I'm not putting names to quotes):

In regards to Jesica, the hispanic girl who had the wrong organs transplanted:
1. Some deserving AMERICAN family will not receive those transplants or any other organs.
2. They entered the country ILLEGALLY.

Just get out of my country.

I understand why you paid a smuggler to get you and your ailing daughter medical care, but you have now proven how selfish and ungrateful you are by refusing to give back what 2 AMERICAN kids could have received. To give these organs back would be the least that you could do. Next time, just take your daughter to the "Pancho Villa Medical Center" in Mexico City.

This one is in response to a member, who is hispanic, and who does post argument-proving comments and could arguably be just as bigoted as the caucasion counterparts, but this kind of response, I think, is just pathetic:

Since when do your people vote? You have to be a citizen to vote. Your illegals can't help your cause, except maybe the 56 runts you wrote about. That was 56 wasn't it? Your females spit those suckers out like gerbils or something? Maybe you meant 5 or 6. I shouldn't be surprised, your typing skills couldn't be any better than your spelling skills, now could it? You and your standard six years of education. No wonder you are such idiots. That's why your homeland is a toilet, that is why your people will never make anything of themselves, that's why you will lose your cause to take the U.S.

Maybe we'll put you and yours in red jackets and have you march in a straight line. We'll wear our blue jackets again, and pick you off like ducks on water. We did it before, just ask the British.

That's just a sample of it. it gets much worse, believe me. I may be (according to their favourite labels) a 'bleeding heart, PC Libbie' or whatever but it just pisses me off that no real discussion can ever happen there on real issues without the thread turning into a useless slagging match. If they aren't attacking a member's race, they are attacking the member's looks/personality (without knowing who they really are). It's just sad.

Anyway just need a bit of a rant :)

I love referrer stats, I really do. For anyone unfamiliar with website statistics, the referrer stats tell you what search engine people used to find you, and what keywords they typed in. Sometimes the keywords crack me up :) The following are words some people have searched on and found themselves here at my journal:

"drinking nude" via Google. (Everyone should do it!)
"slew popups porn" via Google. (Yeah! Slew porn popups!!!)
"why do i have to reboot every two days" again, Google. (Um because you're computer is screwed?)
"walmart rant crowded" via Yahoo (Someone must have been looking for other wallyworld haters :)
"nude sunbathing Bournemouth" via MSN. (Well who wouldn't sunbathe nude in Bournemouth?)
"peter jackson's home address" via Google. (If I knew that one do you think I'd be sitting here writing a blog?)

Those are just a few. I'll post more as I find them :)
