03/17/2003: "The Weekend"

I purposely did not blog over the weekend because no matter how much I love this software, the problem comes when I blog just to blog and I end up not having anything interesting to say. Guess what though, I've got nothing to say this time either smile I wasn't on the comp much over the weekend apart from checking the forums.

Let's see, right now I've got... five forums I frequent on a regular basis. Two are my own, one Lord of the Rings, Eric Emotion's, and my city newspaper's forum - that one for sheer entertainment value where I can be entertained by all of the so-republican-it-hurts people on there. Sounds like a lot of forums eh? It's not really. None of them are very busy, which suits me fine. I rather like going away from it for hours and coming back to find a few new posts to read and respond to. I'd love it if my movie site would pick up more traffic, but I've got no budget to publicise it beyond the usual free ways. Oh well, having fun with it was the main point smile

My sister's leaving for the UK on the 31st. *sigh* Gonna miss her - well I miss her now, but with her in Cali I had the option of hopping in the car and driving out to see her. Now if I want to see her it involves passports and visas and stuff. Found out she's taking her computer with her. I wonder if it's compatible over there. Seems like I remember hearing something about funny voltage differences. I don't know. She probably can. Anyway, if it works all right over there I'll still be able to IM her.

Speaking of Instant Messaging, I think that's the coolest thing ever. I find I'm staying in touch with friends and family members much better than I ever did with just email. And with webcams and voice capabilities, who the hell needs the phone company? big grin
